Tree Maintenance and Removal Policy
In the April 2015 issue of Pennsylvania Township News an article entitled Community Forests was published. The article was centered upon a municipalities need to have a tree ordinance for maintenance, preservation and removal of trees. A review of the East Bradford Township ordinances revealed that the Township has extensive and effective tree preservation and maintenance provisions throughout the Code that address the key elements of the above referenced article. East Bradford Township does not currently have a Tree Commission or a tree inventory in place.
As part of the above review, the Board of Supervisors requested that the Codes Enforcement Officer create a Tree Maintenance and Removal Policy for the township so that these elements of tree care are spelled out for easy reference. That policy was adopted by the Board of Supervisors on May 12, 2015 by Resolution # 11 of 2015.
