Regulated Archery Deer Hunting
in East Bradford Township
Click here for rules, regulations and application.
Overpopulation of whitetail deer is creating an imbalance of the natural ecosystem in East Bradford Township. The Brandywine Valley Archery Club (BVAC) exists to provide quality deer management services to the Township of East Bradford through managed hunting on selected Township owned properties as well as on other privately owned properties within the political boundary of the Township. This will be accomplished by proper selection of qualified, safe, responsible archery hunters conducting managed archery hunts within the Township on selected dates throughout the Pennsylvania deer hunting season.
Attached are the Brandywine Valley Archery Club Rules and Regulations for the upcoming hunting season. Some of the dates are subject to change, other than the initial testing date, which will include shooting, 10 point safety quiz, distance judging and equipment checks, so bring whatever is necessary, as directed in the Rules and Regulations.
There will be no “warming up” on the Township shooting facilities or equipment. So, come warmed up and ready to shoot your 5 arrows, and 5 only, with field points. If you do not qualify with your 5 arrows you might be able to re-test on another date, if a second date is provided and the club officers agree to hold a second date and allow retesting on that date. If not, better luck next year.
Please read the Rules and Regulations very carefully and contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. Mark Lucas, Township Engineer, at 610-436-5108 or
