Work Day Sign-ups. Work days will start up again in April - Click here for the workday sign-up sheet.  More work days will be added as crew leaders become available.  If you wish to sign up for one or more work days, please:

1. Contact Assistant Manager Mandie Cantlin at mcantlin@eastbradford.org or 610-436-5108
2. Provide your name and indicate which day(s)/time(s) you want to work
3. Indicate whether you’re bringing food, etc. (if applicable)

Construction Projects - Project details will be posted throughout the spring/summer season.  Here are the projects that remain:

1. Segment 7 "go around option" - Some minor fine tuning is required to finish the tread.

2. Reroute the portion of segment 26 that goes off property - IMBA will help with this reroute because some expertise will be needed to design a challenging trail through the steep, rocky terrain.

3. Finish tread on southern portion of new "yellow" trail loop (including segments 2, 7, and the new overlook).  Flag and clear northern portion of loop.

Small Projects - The following projects are small and can be completed by a few people as time permits.  If you are interested in any of these projects, please contact Mandie Cantlin at mcantlin@eastbradford.org or 610-436-5108 for more information.

1. Install 2 drainage knicks on segment 2.

2. Intersection of segments 3, 4, and 5 - Clarify tread through turns.

3. One minor rouge trail closures.

Open Trails Map (click here): Updated map!  Trails will be signed and blazed this summer in accordance with this new map.

Things you should have for work days:

1. Good work gloves with good grip
2. Work boots (steel toe preferred)
3. Safety glasses (if using power tools)
4. Pants (poison ivy, thorns)
5. Bug repellant / sun screen

1. Crew leaders will tell volunteers whether to meet at the Harmony Hill Garage or the Skelp Level Road parking area.  See directions below.
2. Try to arrive approximately 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
3. The crew leader will review the work planned for that day, discuss basic safety, etc.  New volunteers will have to sign a release form.
4. Volunteers may carpool or walk to the designated work location.

From West Chester:

Take Route 322 west towards Downingtown.  Make a right on Skelp Level Road (PECO substation will be on your left).  Go approximately 0.8 miles to the intersection of Harmony Hill Road.  Continue straight on Skelp Level Road.  You will pass Overhill Drive and Winchester Trail on the left; the next left – 1200 Skelp Level Road – is the parking area.  If you reach Wilderness Trail, you went a little too far.

From Downingtown:

Take Route 322 east towards West Chester Borough.  Make a left onto Boot Road (Wawa is at the intersection).  Continue for approximately 0.6 miles.  Turn right onto Skelp Level Road.  You’ll pass Shadow Wood Drive and Wilderness Trail on your right.  The next right – 1200 Skelp Level Road – is the parking area.  If you reach Winchester Trail, you went a little too far.

From West Chester:

Take Route 322 west towards Downingtown.  Make a right on Skelp Level Road (PECO substation will be on your left).  Go approximately 0.8 miles to the intersection of Harmony Hill Road.  Make a left on Harmony Hill Road and continue for approximately 0.5 miles.  The parking area is on the right just before the covered bridge.

From Downingtown:
