EAST BRADFORD TOWNSHIP ADOPTS RESOLUTION
SUPPORTING CLEAN ENERGY
On March 8,
2007 the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution #4 of 2007 supporting
the
goal of 20% clean energy by the year 2010. Wind power is pollution free
and creates electricity with no combustion, no smoke and no waste.
Supporting 300 kilowatt-hours of wind energy
per month for one year has the same environmental impact as planting 268
trees. Purchases
through PECO WIND in 2006 had an environmental benefit equal to taking
6,500 cars off
the road or planting 7.6 million trees. Starting in April 2007, East
Bradford Township is
purchasing wind power for its municipal campus, sewer pump stations and
parks and the
Supervisors hope that you will also consider wind power to support Clean
Energy initiative.
