The Planning Commission Comprehensive Plan Task Force is an ad hoc body (see below for
members) established by the Board of Supervisors in June 2002 for the
singular purpose of updating the 1996 Comprehensive Plan Update and
the1986 Township Comprehensive Plan. The Task Force is comprised of
citizen volunteers from existing Township advisory bodies (Planning
Commission, Parks & Recreation, Historical, Open Space, Zoning Hearing
Board, HARB) and several At-large citizens. This group will be meeting
each month (2nd Monday, 6:30 P.M.) in work session over the course of
the next 18 or more months. The meetings, held in the township
Building, are open to the public (but not necessarily for public
comment). The Township has entered into an agreement with Rettew
Associates to provide professional planning and technical
support services to the Task Force. In addition, the Township has
engaged the services of a planning consultant, H. William Sellers, to
compliment the review process.
A public opinion survey is planned to obtain input and information
from East Bradford residents. In addition, the planning process will
include two (2) public meetings to review with Township citizens the
plan process. The Comprehensive Plan update will culminate with a
public hearing by the Board of Supervisors to receive public comment
and consider adoption of the plan probably at the end of 2003 or early
2004.
Your participation and comment is invited throughout the process.
Again, you are invited to the Task Force meetings. In addition, the
task Force welcomes your comments and questions, through submission of
e-mail (mlynch@eastbradford.org)
and / or written comment dropped-off or mailed to the Township
Building (attn: Comp Plan Task Force).
As draft material is completed (based upon thorough review and
discussion by the task Force), it will be made available at this
location

In addition, copies
of the draft materials may be obtained at the Township Building at no
charge to Township residents.
It is the intent of the East Bradford Township Board of Supervisors
to keep Township residents actively informed and engaged as a
participant in this important planning process. The East Bradford
Township Comprehensive Plan is a blueprint for land use and services
of the Township for the next decade.
