Overview

The HARB consists of five members appointed by the Board of Supervisors to five-year terms. Membership must consist of a realtor, architect, the Township building inspector, and two members of the Historical Commission.  The HARB considers only those matters that are pertinent to the preservation of the historic nature of buildings and structures located within the certified historic districts within the Township. When a hearing is held on an application involving work within a historic district, the HARB will make a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors for a Certificate of Appropriateness, after which a building permit can be issued for the work.

Historic Design Guidelines Project

East Bradford Township is pleased to announce that we are in the process of preparing Historic Design Guidelines – a historic preservation tool to help property owners make informed decisions when altering or restoring historic buildings. For more information, see the Historic Design Guidelines Project or email Andrea Campisi, Director of Planning and Zoning.
