DESCRIPTION

The property is owned by PECO Energy, but is under a conservation easement with the Brandywine Conservancy. It is adjacent to the Sugar’s Bridge Nature Area and provides additional parking for Sugar’s Bridge and the East Branch Brandywine Trail.  The property is named after M. John Johnson, resident of East Bradford Township, past President of the West Chester Fish, Game & Wildlife Association and he was instrumental in securing the lease from PECO Energy for the nature area.

 

DIRECTIONS

From West Chester: Take Route 322 west towards Downingtown. Make a right on Skelp Level Road (PECO substation will be on your left). The Parking area is immediately on your left, at the intersection of Skelp Level Road and Route 322.

From Downingtown: Take Route 322 east towards West Chester Borough. Make a left on Skelp Level Road (PECO substation will be on your right). The Parking area is immediately on your left, at the intersection of Skelp Level Road and Route 322.
