2020 CENSUS

Preparatory steps are underway for the 2020 Census.  The purpose of the Decennial Census is to conduct a census of population and housing and disseminate the results to the President, the States, and the American people.  The United States Constitution mandates an actual count of every person residing in the United States every 10 years.  This data is used to:

  • Apportion representation among the states as mandated by the United States Constitution
  • Draw congressional and state legislative districts, school districts, and voting precincts
  • Enforce voting rights and civil rights legislation
  • Distribute federal funding

If you have questions about the Township’s role in this process, contact Mandie Cantlin at mcantlin@eastbradford.org or (610) 436-5108 x102.
