The 40-acre Mt. Bradford Preserve is located at 921 Sconnelltown Road and features a mature woodland and native grass meadow. The preserve is currently served by a small parking area and the Township is currently doing improvements to the Preserve.  A new 9-hole disc golf (PDF) course is currently in the final stages of completion, with baskets in place and the course is playable, a parking area has been added and nature trails are in place. Visitors can currently walk the mown grass meadow trails or hike the dirt trails that connect the disc golf holes and to observe many types of colorful native plants and wildlife. This is a carry in, carry out park. No trash service. Dog walkers must bring bags, clean up after their pets and take the waste with them.

Directions

From West Chester: Take West Miner Street / PA Route 842 west towards Pocopson. Turn left onto Sconnelltown Road (if you reach Meadow Lane, you’ve gone a little too far). Continue about 0.7 miles on Sconnelltown Road. The parking area will be on your right, just past Mt. Bradford Way (if you reach Royal View Drive, you’ve gone a little too far).

From Downingtown: Take Route 322 east towards West Chester. Just outside West Chester, turn right onto Bradford Avenue. Continue approximately 0.6 miles and make a left onto Sconnelltown Road (if you reach Meadow Lane, you’ve gone a little too far). Continue about 0.7 miles on Sconnelltown Road. The parking area will be on your right, just past Mt. Bradford Way (if you reach Royal View Drive, you’ve gone a little too far).
