East Bradford Township is pleased to announce that we are in the process of preparing Historic Design Guidelines – a historic preservation tool to help property owners make informed decisions when altering or restoring historic buildings.
What are Design Guidelines? A historic preservation tool to help property owners make informed decisions when altering or restoring historic buildings.
Who is preparing the Design Guidelines? A Task Force consisting of a member of the Board of Supervisors, members of the Historical Commission, members of the Historical Architectural Review Board, Township staff, and the consulting firm of patterhn ives, llc.
Why is the Township Preparing Design Guidelines? As part of the Township’s Certified Local Government designation, we are required by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission to prepare Design Guidelines. In addition, sensitive restoration and rehabilitation of the Township’s historic resources are important to preserve and protect the unique historic character of the Township.
When are meetings? The Task Force will meet periodically over the next 6-8 months. Meetings will coincide with the monthly meetings of the Historical Commission. Please check Historical Commission agendas to find out when the Design Guidelines are going to be discussed.
